Joyce Elaine (Feay) Jensen passed away on May 23rd, 2017 at Bethesda of Beresford at the age of 88 years, 2 months, and 1 day.

Joyce was born to Alex and Joy Feay and raised in West Sioux of Sioux Falls, SD. The roller-skating rink was her favorite hangout. Her early jobs in high school included working at JC Penny Cosmetic Dept. and at the local Drive Inn for $.25 per hour. One summer Joyce worked at a green house where she realized she liked working with flowers and plants. That became her passion to see her flowers grow each summer and she especially loved her roses. She also loved crafting, sewing and ceramics.

Joyce married Ervin Jensen on September 9, 1951. They settled down on the farm and raised four children in the rural community of Alsen. During her life Joyce was active in her church and extension club. She instilled in her children her faith and love of God. She also loved to cook and bake and delighted her family with many good meals. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and wit.

Grateful for having shared her life are her son Craig and wife Cathy, Beresford, son Kevin and wife Frances, Omaha, NE, daughter Kim and husband Ron Foels, Waseca, MN, son Curtis and wife Karen, Greeley, IA, her brother Larry Feay and wife Myra, Sioux Falls, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin, her parents, a brother Jerald in infancy, her daughter in-law Leisa Jensen, and great grandson Dane Myhr.

Visitation will be Friday May 26 from 12 PM to 1 PM at Dalesburg Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday May 26 at Dalesburg Lutheran Church, rural Vermillion, SD, with burial at the Beresford Cemetery.
