Jon E. Edwards, 48, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Beresford, SD on Friday, July 17, 2020, surrounded by his family and friends.  Jon was only with us 48 short years, however, those years contained multiple lifetimes of memories.  A loving, loyal, generous and devoted family man, respected and loved by all of us blessed to have known him.  Outside of his family, Jon's crowning achievement was owning his own trucking company.  Jon loved to roll down the highways in his 379 extended hood Pete, with his loyal companion Bella riding shotgun beside him.  Now free of cancer, Jon is healthy and happily rolling down the beautiful highways in Heaven, with our loving mother beside him.  Roll on Jonny and Mom, until we meet again.

Jon is survived by his father, Pete J. Conefrey; his son, Scott Garcia; granddaughter, Izebella "Izzy" Renee Garcia; sisters, Michelle Perry, Wendy Cloud and Heather Derocher; brothers, Bill Arends and Eric Derocher; his grandparents, Myles and Rosemarie Conefrey; nephews, Duncan, Tyler, Xavier, Taten, Chaz and Curtis; nieces, Alicia, Tami, Candace, Shelby, Catlin, Deonna and Brittany; aunties, Sue, Pam, Karen, Vicky, and Linda; uncles, Alan, David, Butch, Michael, Kevin and Skip; cousins, Shawn, April, Pat, Janet, Shannon, Curtis, Misty, Christina, and hundreds more.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta L. Edwards Conefrey; his grandparents, Leo R. Edwards and Celia I. Edwards; and his uncle, Dewey Edwards.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
