JOHN KEITH "Bud" NORLING, age 86 passed away at Sioux Falls, SD on Sunday, May 25, 2014. John was born on Sept. 18, 1927 to Arthur Norling, Sr. and Amy (Berquist) Norling on the family farm at Beresford, SD. John attended Glenwood Rural School. He worked as a farm laborer in the Beresford and Hurley, SD area. John married Lorraine Nelson of Centerville, SD in January of 1951. Four children were born to this union. They lived in Sioux Falls, SD where John drove truck and was a mechanic for Willer's Trucking Company. In 1964 he married Lillian Laughlin. She died in April 1968. John entered Southridge Health Care in March 2000 after suffering a stroke. He enjoyed the friends he made at Southridge Health Care and watching sports on television. John was preceded in death by his son Raymond Norling; three brothers, Milo Norling, Arthur Norling Jr., and Richard Norling; three sisters Norma Norling, Donna LaFurge and Betty Volden; sister-in-law Rosie Norling; brothers-in-law Leigh LaFurge and William Close, Sr. He is survived by his son Terry Norling of New Holstein, WI; daughters Dianna Graf and Shelly Hoffman of Sioux Falls, SD; several grandchildren; daughter-in-law Toni Norling, Worthington, MN; a sister Joy Close of Phoeniz, AZ, a brother Charles (Lois) Norling of Beresford, SD, two sisters-in-law, Arlys Norling and Annadell Norling; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Brooklyn Cemetery, rural Beresford, SD.
