Jerrad (Bubba, Snax) Rodney Berg was born at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on September 1 ^st , 1983. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Centerville on Tuesday, February 14 ^th , 2023. While growing up, he attended school in Centerville and Beresford.  He graduated from Beresford High School in 2002. Jerrad was a teddy bear with a big heart, especially when it came to his 3 children, Lexi, Zack, and Katie.

Throughout his life, Jerrad worked in a custom combine crew, at Alkota in Alcester, SD, and Jerry's Auto in Beresford SD.  His two main loves in life were his family and music.  He was a talented musician and played guitar by ear and sang for several area bands including Stealing Serenity, Noise Ordinance, and Sidetrakked. You could always hear him strumming his guitar and singing anything from country to rock, while sitting in the living room or the bathroom.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing while growing up and earned his nickname, Snax, while at Placerville church camp.  He also sprained both of his wrists while landing a cartwheel but somehow, looked cool doing it! His passion then turned to becoming a fireman.  Jerrad attended fire school in Nebraska after high school.

Thankful for having shared in his life are his kids, Lexi, Zack and Katie, parents Teresa and Brian Jensen, Jerry and Kathy Berg, sister Kristen (and Jason) Hallauer, and Grandma Jean Peterson, Stepsiblings Amanda (Scott) Peterson, Steven (Amy) Peterson, Christopher (Tania) Peterson, Brandi (Veit) Anders and Ashley (Dustin) Emery and hosts of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, Nikki, Teresa, Chanteal, Angie and many friends are also grateful for knowing Jerrad.

He was preceded in death by Grandpas Roger Peterson and Rod Berg, Grandma Pat Berg and Aunt Lisa Briggle.

Memorials may be directed to One American Bank in Centerville, SD to benefit his children.
