Jerold Lee Voegeli was born October 22, 1939 to John and Agnes (Espeland) Voegeli. He went to be with Jesus with his family by his side on November 8, 2015 at Sanford Hospital at the age of 76 years and 16 days. Jerold attended Pleasant Valley District 39 Country School and graduated from Beresford High School in 1957. He went to work for Boeing Airlines in Seattle, WA until returning home in 1960. He married Mary Strand on January 22, 1961. He worked for Farmer's Co-op from 1960 until 1963 when he started his own business, Voegeli Digging and Excavating. Jerold contracted his services to Stake Construction until the company retired. He then worked for Michael's Pipeline until retiring in 2006. Jerold always had a love for music. He taught himself the piano and guitar, but his favorite was the guitar. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Mary; his children, Cameron (Tammy), Teresa (Robert) Knutson all of Beresford and Travis (Nicole), Circle Pine, MN; seven grandchildren, Joseph (Melissa), Blaine, Tanner, Lance, Arien, Jacob, and Gavin; three great grandchildren, Easton, Tate and Gracelynn; three sisters, Myrna (Dennis) Nelson, Lois Moss, and Linda (Dave) Nelson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Agnes, a brother Lloyd and two sisters, Marlys and Arlene. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 12 at Beresford Zion United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Zion Cemetery, rural Beresford. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5PM to 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.
