Jennifer L. Busch was given life by her creator and was born on March 24, 2001 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Todd and Lynette (Schoellerman) Busch. She died December 25, 2023 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls at the age of 22 years, nine months and one day.

Jennifer received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God on April 29, 2001. She and her sister, Emily, were raised near Alcester. Jennifer attended the Alcester-Hudson School. She lived in Sioux Falls at Valley House with Dakotabilities for the past year and a half. Jennifer liked listening to birds singing and playing piano. She enjoyed activating a variety of musical toys, standing in her stand aid, and pleasing others with her beautiful smile. Her sister Emily was her best friend and companion.

She is survived by her parents, Todd and Lynette Busch of Alcester; her sister, Emily Busch of Yankton; paternal grandmother, Shirley Rehder of Sioux Center, IA; maternal grandparents, Gordon and Donna Schoellerman of Alcester; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Merlyn Busch and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who rose again and triumphed over death, and has gone to prepare a place for her… and you… in His heavenly kingdom of glory. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our sister, Jennifer.

Funeral services will be 1PM Friday, December 29, 2023 at Peace Lutheran Church in Alcester, SD with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7PM Thursday, Dec. 28th at Wass Funeral Chapel in Alcester.
