Neoma Jean Olson (Jean) was born July 1, 1933 in Yankton, South Dakota to Eugene and Tena (Peterka) Kirkham Clark. She passed away November 23, 2022 at the Centerville Care & Rehab Center at the age of 89 years, four months and 22 days.

She was united in marriage with James Olson on January 6, 1952 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Centerville. They were blessed with five children. Jean loved living on the farm, her children, grandchildren, and especially her church.

She worked at the Centerville Good Samaritan Nursing Home for 25 years until her retirement in 2000.   In November of 2019 Jean and Jim moved to the Centerville Care Center.

Jean loved visiting with all the residents and workers. She was a social butterfly with her new friends at the home.

Grateful for having shared her life is her husband James of 70 years ; two sons, Jim Jr. (Rita) of Viborg and John (Teri) of Sioux Falls; two daughters, Barb Ramos and Linda (Steven) Holmberg all of Centerville; grandchildren, Rebbecca Brown, Jesse Olson, Roxanne (Chad) Davis, Rachel (Tony) Anderson, TJ (Colleen) Olson, Erin (Chris) Zielinski, James (Amy) Ramos, Melissa (Ryan) Lefers, Bradley (Nicole) Holmberg, Gregory (Sara) Holmberg, Kevin (Allison Jutras) Holmberg and Brett (Bree) Holmberg; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; a half-brother, Leland (Lori) Clark of Yankton and friend Darla Ludens.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard; granddaughter, Linda Kay Ramos; maternal grandmother, Anna Peterka (who Jean was very close with); her parents, brother, Robert Kirkham; and step-father, Leland Clark, Sr.

Funeral services will be 2PM Monday, November 28, 2022 at Immanuel Free Lutheran Church, rural Centerville. Visitation will be 5-7PM Sunday, Nov. 27 ^th at Wass Funeral Chapel in Centerville with a 7PM prayer service.
