Jason Andrew Saugstad, son of Jean (Jensen) and Leland Saugstad passed away suddenly in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 45 on May 11, 2015. Jason was born April 6, 1970 in Sioux Falls, SD. He was a 1988 graduate of Beresford High School and entered the service after graduation where he served in the U.S. Army. He worked various jobs after the Army including an internship with NASA. He was currently working as a technician at Rosenbauer America. Jason enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, camping, and boating.He had a passion for animals that lead him to work at the Watertown Zoo, and volunteer at the Sioux Falls Humane Society and Second Chance. Jason is survived by his parents Jean and Leland, 3 brothers; Ronnie (Wanda) of Beresford, Ryan (Teresa) of South Sioux City, NE, and Erik (Angie) of Beresford, 3 children; Skylar, Isaac, and Rachel, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the VFW in Beresford, SD on Friday, May 15th from 2-4 p.m.
