Jason Lorenger, 55, of Beresford, SD, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. A Celebration of Life service will be posted later this Fall. Jason William Lorenger was born on November 9, 1970, to John and Beverly (Rastin) Lorenger in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was a member of the high school wrestling team. Jason served in the US Army, where he was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and a recipient of the Silver Star. Jason was a resident of Arizona until 2021, then he moved to South Dakota.

Jason was a member of Restore Church, where he recently gave his life to Jesus, which brough him great comfort. He was a true jack-of-all-trades who could assemble or repair almost anything. Some of his hobbies include being an avid gamer, Star Wars LEGO collector, and a massive fan of sci-fi movies and comic books.

Jason is survived by his partner, Jennifer Olloway; daughters, Hannah and Olivia Lorenger; father and step-mother, John Lorenger and Sue McGrew; aunt, Gretchen Pixley; uncle, Phil Lorenger, and many cousins.
