Jane Arlene Kienast was born October 12, 1957 in LeMars, IA to parents Bert and Etta (Hulstein) Baker. She died July 8, 2015 at the Alcester Care Center in Alcester, SD at the age of 57 years, 8 months and 26 days. Jane lived in Rock Valley, IA until the age of three when the family moved to a farm near Canton, SD in 1960. She attended Kerley District #23 country school. She then attended school in Canton and graduated from Canton High School in 1975. Jane was employed as a cook in several area restaurants, including Conklins, Truck Towne, Silver Dollar, Emily's, Stone Hearth, and Coop One Stop. She lived in Canton, Beresford, Centerville, Sioux Falls and Alcester. Jane married Carl W. Kienast on January 10, 1986 in Beresford. They lived in Centerville for over 25 years. Carl died in 2011. Among her hobbies and interests were fishing with Carl and traveling. She will be missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by her three brothers, Walter Baker and wife Carol, Canton, SD, Conrad Baker and wife Linda, Canton, SD and her twin brother Gene, Centerville; sister-in-law Marge Peterson and husband Palmer, Viborg; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Please join Jane's family at the Centerville American Legion following the burial services at Riverview Cemetery. Funeral services will be held 1:30PM, Saturday, July 11 at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville with visitation one hour prior to services
