James "Jimmy J" Jervik was born December 18, 1958 in Hawarden, Iowa to Clarence and Beverly (Larson) Jervik. He died October 22, 2025 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 4 days.

Jimmy was raised in the Norway Center, SD area where he attended Sunde Country School and Alcester High School. He worked for several years at McCord Corporation, now Adams Thermal Systems, in Canton. Jimmy had a love for collecting items, or as he called them, his "treasures".

His parents and one brother, David, preceded him in death.

Jimmy is survived by his sister, Deb (Arvid) Sommervold of Brookings; brother, Don Jervik of Beresford; several nieces and nephews and his beloved rescue dog, Bea.

A memorial service will be 2PM Monday, October 27, 2025 at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford with visitation prior to the service.
