Grace Almeda Davidson was born to Clarence and Mary Emily (Davis) Davidson on July 1, 1912 at Gresham, Burt County, NE, the youngest of eight children. She passed away at the Good Samaritan Home in Centerville, SD on Dec. 26, 2011. She grew up and was educated in Lyons, NE. She was working as a telephone operator in Tekamah, NE at the time of her marriage to George E. Webster in LeMars, IA on June 11, 1933. They owned and operated a portable feed grinding business and later a milk hauling business in the Burt County, NE area later purchasing a milk hauling business at Centerville, SD in 1949. In 1963, they sold that business and built the Webster Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Centerville, retiring in 1975. Grace was a member of the Federated UCC Church in Centerville and a 60 year member of the Ivy Chapter OES. She did much volunteer work in the community and her church. Grace loved her family and spent many hours preparing meals for them and visiting them whenever she could. She was happiest when her family gathered around her large dining room table or greeting her customers at the laundromat. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy McMunigal (Charles) of Sioux Falls and Rev. Joyce Anderson of Onida, SD; seven grandchildren, Linda Greenwell, Robin DeBoer, Gloria Whites (Doug), Mike McMunigal (Melissa), Vonita Jackson (Jack), Todd Anderson and Rhonda Myers (Kenny); 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, two granddaughters, three sisters, four brothers and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Grace will be 2PM Friday, Dec. 30th at the United Church of Christ in Centerville. Visitation will be 2-8PM Thursday with an Eastern Star service at 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville.
