Glen C. Kennedy, 82 of Beresford, SD passed away with his children by his side on April 7, 2010 at Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care in Bradenton, FL. Glen battled bile duct cancer for approximately one year before his death.

Glen Curtis Kennedy was born November 28, 1927 to Ray and Alice (Norling) Kennedy in Brooklyn Township, Lincoln County rural Beresford, SD. He graduated from Beresford High School in 1946. Glen began farming as a young man and continued up until this past year. He married Catherine OConnor on September 18, 1950, in Beresford, SD.

Glen was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Beresford.

Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine, his parents, and an infant sister.

He is survived by his children, a son, Kevin Kennedy of Ft. Myers, FL and a daughter, Shelly Kennedy of Sarasota, FL; three brothers, Dale Kennedy and wife Barb of Beresford, Jim Kennedy and wife Lila of Beresford, and William Kennedy and wife Helen of Martin, SD; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral mass will be held 10:00AM, Friday, April 16, 2010 at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Beresford. Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, from 4PM to 8PM with family present from 6PM to 8PM and a gathering to share memories of Glen's life at 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford. Burial will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery, rural Beresford, SD.
