Gayle (Klemme) Gacusana passed away June 22, 2023 at Mercy One Hospital following a brief illness.

A celebration of life will be held July 22, 2023 at 10:00 am at Roseni Lutheran Church in the downstairs fellowship hall; burial will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials in Gayle's name be made to The Pleasant Hill Chapel.

Gayle Diane Klemme was born July 10, 1947 in Akron, Iowa, the daughter of Margaret (Ritchie) Klemme and Arnold Luverne Klemme.  She attended school at Pleasant Hill Country School, Akron Community High School and graduated from Nettleton Business School.  Gayle's career journeys took her to Sioux City, working for Bomgaars, and the USD Art Department in Vermillion, SD, Denver, Co with Continental Airlines, and IBP in Amarillo, TX and finally returning back home.

She met the love of her life, Corey Gacusana in 1977,  and married September 22, 1979.  They traveled to California, and New Mexico with his job and returned back to their farm in Spink Township where she worked with the Department of Social Services in Elk Point retiring after 20 years in 2021.
Gayle always had a love for animals. She rescued both dogs and cats plus was well known for her love of horses.

She is survived by her husband: Corey Gacusana, her brother, Bruce Klemme, her sister, LeAnn (Tim) Barnes; nephew, Shaun (Jolene) Klemme, nieces, Kristen Parrott, Vanessa (Joe) Klemme VanDeWiele; Courtney Barnes and Carly Barnes.  Those who preceded her in death were: her parents, Arnold and Margaret Klemme.
