Mass of Christian Burial for Gary Lounsbery will be at 10:30AM Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Beresford. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford and continuing from 5-8PM at the church with a wake service at 7PM.

Gary was born October 3, 1941 in Sioux Falls, SD to Warren and Margaret (Ambur) Lounsbery. He died March 28, 2010 at his home in rural Beresford, SD at the age of 68 years, five months and 25 days.

Gary was raised on the family farm and graduated from Beresford High School. He had always loved farming and made it his lifes work. Gary married Karen Lass June 16, 1962 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Beresford. He served on the Lincoln Township Board and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; sons, Brian (Christine) Lounsbery and Dr. Mark (Michelle) Lounsbery of Sioux Falls; daughters, Ann (Kenneth) Allender of Sioux Falls and Julie Lounsbery of Peoria, AZ; six grandchildren, Kevin, Michael and Zachary Allender and Michelle, Nicholas and Laurentis Lounsbery; and brother, Larry (Lois) Lounsbery of Beresford. His parents preceded him in death.
