Carolyn Gail Walton, age 83, died Friday, August, 2, 2019 at Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford, South Dakota. Memorial services will be 2PM Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Romsdal Lutheran Church, rural Beresford.  Visitation with the family present will be 6-8PM Friday, Aug. 9 ^th at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.  Memorials may be directed to Romsdal Lutheran Church Siding Fund.

Gail was born March 29, 1936 to Harvey and Clarinda (Rommereim) Bovill.  She grew up on the family farm near Beresford.  She graduated from Beresford High School.

Gail retired after working 20 years at the Lincoln County Courthouse in Canton. She was a life-long member of Romsdal Lutheran Church.  She was a past member of the Sweet Adelines, Senior Citizens and Women's American Legion Auxiliary.  She enjoyed singing, playing piano, bowling, crafts, camping, fishing, meeting friends for coffee and playing Farkle.

Gail is survived by her three children, Charles (Cheryl) Ball, Cynthia Burns and Kelley Ball; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Cheryl (Fred) Smith; several cousins; and her special friend, Lloyd Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Walton; brother, John; and her parents.
