Funeral services for Gail Jensen will be 2PM Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford. Visitation will be from 4-7PM Wednesday at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford. Gail G. Jensen was born August 5, 1918 in Clay County to George and Jessie (Lawrensen) Jensen. He died April 24, 2011 at Bethesda of Beresford at the age of 92 years, eight months and 19 days. Gail was raised in Clay County and attended Rockfield Rural School and was baptized and confirmed at Rockfield Lutheran Church. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII in the European Theatre. He returned to the Beresford area where he farmed and was a licensed electrician. Gail married Ardis Ende December 7, 1951. Gail served on the Silver Lake school board and was a 60 year member of the American Legion and VFW. After the war, he had his aviation license and enjoyed flying his own airplane. Gail liked hunting and fishing. He was a Minnesota Twins fan and enjoyed driving around the area in "Little Jewel", his pickup. He is survived by his wife, Ardis; son, Curtis (Marvel) Jensen and daughter, Gail Snoozy all of Beresford; six grandchildren, Connie Wastell, Cindy (Gene) Nordquist, Hilary Jensen, Jessica (Ryan) Waterman, Hannah Jensen and Jenna Jensen; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Arden Jensen of Hudson, WI and several nieces and nephews. His parents, brother, Leo, sister, Norma and one great-grandson, Adam preceded him in death.
