A memorial service for Frances will be 2PM Thursday, March, 11th at Beresford Zion United Methodist Church.
Frances Jean Carter died March 3, 2010 at Southridge Health Care Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 77 years, seven months and 18 days. Frances was born in Fresno, CA. July 15, 1932. Frances lived in many places, but found Beresford and called it home. Frances enjoyed many of the little things in life. The people that stopped by to visit always got invited to a game of cards which Frances loved. Frances crocheted most of her life, a lot of her friends and family received her beautiful handmade afghans. Over the years she made lovely craft items. The last few years one of her joys was crocheting baby blankets for the Lioness Program.
Frances suffered from rheumatoid arthritis most of her life. She always made time for everybody and had a good word for all. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frances raised her children playing games, and this continued down the generations. Frances world revolved around her love for God and our Savior Jesus. She was always ready to sit down and read and discuss the teachings in the Bible.
Frances is survived by her children, Edward, Lyda, Jeffrey, Jean, David, Mari and Nathaniel; grandchildren, Erik, Jessie, Robert, Richard, Joseph, Glenn, Sherry, and Alicia; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda; brother, Ralph and her friend, Marsha, that was always there for her. Her parents, her sister Velma Faye, her son Timothy, and her great-great-grandchild Miranda Kay preceded her in death.
