Everett "T-Bone" Nygaard, age 90, passed away peacefully in Sioux Falls, SD on November 28, 2017.  Graveside services will be held at 11:15 on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Beresford, SD.

T-Bone was born in Beresford, SD on October 23, 1927; the 7th of 9 children.   He graduated from Beresford High School in May 1945 and was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served his country in occupied Japan until his discharge in October 1947.  He went on to graduate from University of Minnesota and was hired by Ford Motor Company in Michigan where he worked for 2 years.  He then transferred to Chrysler Corporation where he worked as an international accountant for the next 33 years.  After he retired, he returned to his roots in Beresford in 1992, where he and Joan enjoyed their golden retirement years.

He is survived by his wife Joan (Pedersen) Nygaard; his 3 children, Nancy Zyburt, Chelsea, MI, Christine Nygaard, Bellevue, WA, and Erik Nygaard, CA; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his youngest son, David Nygaard.  He was also preceded by his parents, Jacob and Sarah Nygaard and all 8 of his siblings, Jeanette, Bea, Bud, Bob, Joe, Norm, Ben and Doug.

He was our family patriarch, world traveler,
avid football fan and will be loved and missed by many.
