Eula Mae Starks, age 75, of Centerville, SD died August 2, 2008 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. A Celebration of Life service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 9th at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville. Eula Mae was born July 15, 1933 in Hardy, Arkansas to Roy and Chloe (VanLaningham) Mayab. She was raised and educated there. She married Everett Starks on November 12, 1949 at Mountain Home, Arkansas. They moved to Centerville in 1961 where Eula worked for many years at Good Samaritan Center and Pioneer Memorial Home in Viborg. She also did home health care in the area. They moved to Missouri in 1983. Following Everett's death in 1985, Eula returned to Centerville, residing at Good Samaritan Center for the last three years. She was very devoted to her children and her grandchildren. Eula liked to sew and cross stitch and was an avid fan of the Sioux Falls Storm. She loved to read, especially her Bible. Eula is survived by her children, Roger (Diane) Starks of Sioux Falls, Dianna (David) Olson of Beresford, Donna (David) Fedderson of Beresford, Randy (Luetta) Starks of Loveland, CO and Ricky Starks of Sioux Falls; nine grandchildren, Travis (Jenny) Starks, Traci (Kevin) Bilben, Ryan (Amber) Olson, Tonya (Kyle) Hansen, Troy (Sara) Fedderson, Brandi (Greg) Slaven, Melissa (Jeremy) Wallenstein, Rikke Liska and Noelle Liska; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Donnie (Peggy) Mayab of Springfield, MO; brothers-in-law, Ben Arnall of Hartville, MO and Robert Hunt of St. Joseph, MO; sisters-in-law, Lillian Mayab of Grovesprings, MO and Beulah Mayab of Illinois. Her parents; husband; three brothers, Hubert, Clyde and Lawrence; and two sisters, Hazel and Lois preceded her in death.
