Eldon Newberg was born July 29, 1937 in Akron, Iowa to Charles and Marie (Albers) Newberg. He died February 28, 2025 in Beresford, South Dakota at the age of 87 years.

He was raised in the Alcester area and graduated from Alcester High School in 1956. Eldon was united in marriage to Marilyn Evans on June 7, 1959 in Alcester. He worked in construction. After they retired, the couple moved to Mesa, Arizona. Marilyn died in September 2003.

Preceding him in death are his wife of 44 years, Marilyn; his son, Mark; and his parents.

Eldon is survived by his daughter, Machel (Dan) Heeren of Prince's Lake, IN; two sons, Matthew (Missie Turner) Newberg of Sioux Falls and Michael Newberg of Sioux Falls; daughter-in-law, Laurie Newberg of Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren; brother, Jerome and sister, Mary.

Abiding by Eldon's wishes, no public service is scheduled.
