Elden Beeler, Sr., age 85, died November 26, 2007 at Canton-Inwood Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29th at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford, SD. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford with the family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Elden was born to George and Alice (Hamilton) Beeler on January 2, 1922 in rural Spink, SD. He died November 26, 2007 in Canton, SD at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 24 days. Elden married Ella Skinner March 23, 1941 at his parent?s home. He was a farmer all his adult life and worked as a plumber for a second job. Elden also worked at ASC for six years. He retired from farming in 1999. Elden enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Ella Beeler of Alcester; 15 children, Judy (Vernon) Harms of Tea, Arlien (Lyle) Bauman of Brookings, Ardis (Gary) McDonald of Wilmot, Cathy (Ranier) Bohm of Ansbach, Germany, Jo Sakry of Garretson, Elden (Rhonda) Beeler, Jr. of Alcester, George (Darby) Beeler of Tea, Richard (Vicki) Beeler of Alcester, Dwight (Shanda) Beeler of Beresford, Pat (Scott) Mullinix of Hudson, Danette (Scott) Mason of LeMars, John Beeler and Staci Mikkelson of Beresford, Charles Beeler of Beresford, Pam Davis and Brian Hinseth of Beresford, and Jim Beeler and Karen Fieldgrove of Elba, NE; 51 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and one sister, Dora Westerman of Pierre. His parents, two brothers, four sisters and one grandson, Alan Kaden preceded him in death.
