Edward Jensen, age 68, died at his home in Beresford March 1, 2011. Memorial services will be 2PM Friday, March 4th at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Ed was born in Hudson, South Dakota on September 29, 1942 to Raymond and Gladys (Torkelson) Jensen. He died March 1, 2011 in Beresford, SD at the age of 68 years, five months and two days.

Ed lived in Beresford until joining the US Marine Corps. He served from 1961 through 1965. Ed married Marilyn Brown in 1967. He worked construction until moving to Belvidere, Illinois where he worked for Chrysler. Following his retirement in 1998 they moved back to Beresford.

He enjoyed hunting trips with his father and fishing trips in Canada with his family. He loved going to auctions and collecting a few of his favorite things.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of 44 years; two sons, Brett (Mega) Jensen of Rockford, IL and Todd Jensen of Belvidere, IL and one grandson, Peter. Ed is also survived by two sisters, Cynthia Sibole of Minden, LA and Jean (Leland) Saugstad of Beresford. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
