Edward Arnold Bergstrom died at his home in rural Centerville, SD with his dog, Pal, by his side. He was 76 years old, two months short of his birthday on April 25th when he would have been 77 years of age. He was born to John and Gladys (Nysveen) Bergstrom at the hospital in Vermillion, SD.

Edward was very young when he had to take over farming for his ailing dad. It was hard for him at first, but he learned quickly and he became a very good farmer which he enjoyed the rest of his life. Edward raised cattle, hogs and good crops every year. He made a good life for his dad and mother.

His father died August 24, 1973 and his mother's services were February 27, 2015 at Scandia Lutheran Church. Since then Edward has been living with his dog, Pal. He will be greatly missed by his loyal neighbors and relatives.

He is survived by his two aunts, Hazel Landman of Sioux Falls, SD and Connie Kendall of Yankton, SD, several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
