Doris Maxine Hughes was born November 14, 1926 in Hudson, South Dakota to William and Olga (Benson) Larson. She died May7, 2018 at Bethesda in Beresford, SD at the age of 91 years, five months and 23 days.

Doris worked in Hawarden, Iowa at Otis Radio Shop and Morningside Manor in Alcester, SD. She enjoyed sewing quilts, baking, playing cards and dancing.

She is survived by her two sisters, Eleanor Wevik and her husband, Eldean of Beresford, SD and Janice Moss and her husband, Richard of Rapid City, SD; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her two husbands, Orlen Jamtgaard and Don Hughes; brother, Myron Larson; two sisters, Marian Castle and Gloria Jean Kadrlik and her parents.

Visitation will be 2-4PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Wass Funeral Home in Alcester. Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday at Roseni Lutheran Church, rural Beresford.
