Donald Little

Donald Eugene Little, Jr. of North Sioux City, South Dakota died Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa after complications from serious medical problems. He will be cremated and his ashes returned to his family. The family will plan a Celebration of Life service that will be announced at a later date. Donald was 60 years old at the time of his death.

Donald Eugene Little, Jr., son of Donald and Sandra (Spain) Little, Sr. was born on September 7, 1965 at Fort Riley, Kansas. He was married and divorced three times resulting in four children, two sons and two daughters. Donald graduated from high school in Elk Point, South Dakota; throughout his life he lived in Elk Point, Beresford and North Sioux City. Donald, also known as Don or Donnie to friends and family, worked most of his life as a cook. He delivered newspapers in Elk Point and the surrounding area for several years. Don did mechanic work and household repair for himself and family and friends.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and watching television. Don liked having a cookout and fireworks on Independence Day but his greatest joy in recent years was babysitting his grandkids, Joseph and Stormi Flying Hawk. They kept him going and were his saving grace; they will miss him very much.

Survivors include his brother, John Little of Elk Point; sister, Lavenda Hanson of Sioux City, IA; sons, Douglas Little of Yankton and Michael Little of Sioux City; two daughters, Britney Little of South Sioux City, NE and Kelsey Little of North Sioux City; 10 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Donald (Sandra) Little, Sr.; ex-wife, Angela Porter; ex-father-in-law, Clarence “Bud” Lewis; two nephews, Kaleb Hill and Timothy Valastuin.
