Graveside services will be 2PM on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Romsdal Cemetery, rural Beresford, SD.

Dixie Lea Thompson was born May 24, 1940 on a farm in rural Beresford, South Dakota to Roger and De Vona (Hatcher) Warner. She died December 16, 2022 in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 82 years, six months and 22 days.

She lived most of her life in Beresford with the exception of 20 years in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Dixie married Leonard E. Neuroth January 3, 1959 and to that union two beautiful sons were born. Dixie worked for a few years in the flower shop in Beresford and two years at Bethesda of Beresford. Leonard died April 19, 1983.

Dixie married LeRoy H. "Ted" Thompson on January 24, 1985. They lived and worked in Beloit, Wisconsin until they retired to Beresford in 2005. God and family were most important to her; she enjoyed her grandchildren very much. Dixie enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing cards and watching birds.

Her parents, two husbands, son, Roger, and two sisters preceded her in death.

Those who survive and gratefully shared her life are her son, Lenny (Lila) Neuroth; sister, Betty (Pat) Nichols, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends; and a special friend, Robert Anderson; and her dog, Freckles.
