Diane Annette Davidson was born September 27, 1955 to Cameron and Lois (Erickson) Larson of Beresford, South Dakota. She passed away peacefully at the Avera Dougherty House on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Diane was baptized and confirmed at Komstad Covenant Church, where she was an active, life-long member. Throughout the years she was on the church board, taught Sunday school and was a member of Ladies Aide and Komstad Faith Circle. Diane married Dennis Davidson on June 25, 1977. In addition to be being survived by her husband of 37 years, she was grateful to have shared her life with her son, Eric Davidson (engaged to Susanne Merrigan), three grandsons Logan, Dillon, and Camden, and her daughter, Amy (Jeremy) Swier. After graduating from Beresford High School in 1973, she went to Nettleton College. After graduating college, she worked for a short time at the USD Law School, before taking a job with Farm Credit Service of America in April 1981. Over the 32 plus years with Farm Credit her role continued to change. She is survived by her mother, Lois Larson of Beresford; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Wayne) Larson of Sioux Falls; sister, Renee' (Roger) Munce of Sioux Falls; brother, Harvey (Wendy) Larson of Beresford; sister, Jane (Sean) Bade of Sioux Falls; brother-in-law, Ray (Linda) Davidson of Webster, IA, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Cameron Larson and brother, Wayne Larson. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Dougherty House for their wonderful care and hospitality. In memory of Diane, she and the family requests in lieu of flowers that a donation be made in her name to the Children's Inn, 409 N. Western Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104. Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Komstad Covenant Church, rural Beresford, with burial at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 7PM at Komstad Covenant Church.
