DeVona Fedderson was born August 5, 1930 in rural Beresford, SD to parents John and Florence (Ende) Carlson. She died August 12, 2009 at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 79.

DeVona attended Pleasant Hill rural school and graduated from Beresford High School. She married Clayton Fedderson on September 17, 1949 at the United Congregational Church in Beresford. They lived south of Beresford for 5 years, moved to a farm north of Beresford where they lived for 53 years and then moved in to Beresford 2 years ago.

DeVona was an active member of the United Church of Christ in Beresford where she served as fellowship treasurer for many years. She enjoyed sewing and had made many items for herself, family, church and the community. She liked entertaining people and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Clayton of Beresford; daughter Debra DuBrall and husband Robert of Eagan, MN; grandson Ryan DuBrall of Savage, MN; sister Phyllis Drury of Beresford, SD; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Merle, sister Lucille Wastell and a sister Velma, in infancy.

Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Monday, August 17 at the United Church of Christ in Beresford with burial to follow at Nazareth Cemetery, rural Beresford. Visitation will be Sunday from 3PM to 7PM with family present from 6PM to 7PM with a prayer service at 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.
