Delores Rhea Twite was born August 18, 1932 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Archie and Rose (Ball) Rhea. She passed away comfortably April 24, 2020 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 6 days.

She attended Lincoln and Pioneer grade schools in Lincoln County and graduated from Beresford High School in 1950.

Delores was the third generation living on the Rhea family farm which was homesteaded by her grandfather, David Rhea. Delores resided on the farm for 62 years and moved into Beresford in 2003.

She married Ole Twite on January 1, 1951. He died July 7, 1985. Delores met Lowell Voog, he was a friend and companion for 18 years. She enjoyed the many flowers in her yard and followed Beresford High School girls' basketball as her granddaughters were on the team. At the time of her death she was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford.

Delores is survived by two daughters, Dorothy (Mike) Rothenbuehler of Larchwood, Iowa and Sharon (Jason) Jans of Hawarden, Iowa; son, David (Belinda) Twite of Beresford; seven grandchildren, Erik Twite, Ashlee Twite, Taryn Twite, Bailey Twite, Nathan Jans, Elijah (Sydney) Jans, Brittany (Ryan) Huenink, seven great-grandchildren, special friends, Bruce and Sandy Voog and Mike and Karen Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, son, Merle; and her husband, Ole.
