Delores Mae Maschino, daughter of Wilson and Helen (Madsen) Maschino, was born August 14, 1935 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She died May 8th, 2017 at the age of 81 years.

She lived in Wilmot, SD for 10 years and moved to Sioux Falls in 1950. Delores married Ernie Stevens on June 27th, 1953. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage and four children, Allen, Sherrie, Doug and Kristie.

Delores was a member of Scandia Lutheran Church and a member of Esther Circle for many years.

Delores was a fabulous cook and loved to bake for her family. She was a typical farm wife who cooked many meals for anyone who showed up at mealtime. She spent endless hours helping take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. This was her biggest joy in life!

Blessed to have been part of her life are her children Sherrie Menigoz, Doug (Jan) Stevens, Kristie (Scott) Pingrey and daughter-in-law Carol Stevens all of Centerville, SD. Four sisters: Darlene (Lowell) Larson, Bonnie (Dave) Lien, Carol (Len) Neugebauer, Joyce (Ray) Ostrem, Deb Maschino and two brothers: Larry (Debbie) Maschino and Jeff Maschino and sister-in-law Marjorie Maschino, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernie, son Allen, son-in-law Rich Menigoz, brother Jerry Maschino, three nephews, one niece, and a brother-in-law.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, May 12, 2017 at Scandia Lutheran Church, Centerville, with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, rural Centerville. Visitation will be Thursday from 6PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 7PM at the Scandia Lutheran Fellowship Hall.
