Delores Graham was born November 17, 1932 in Sherman, SD the daughter of Edwin and Florence (Beaumont) Docken. She died November 27, 2010 at Bethesda of Beresford at the age of 78 years and 10 days.
Delores grew up on the family farm outside of Jasper, MN where she graduated from high school. After graduation she moved to Sioux Falls and worked at Morells. On September 21, 1952 she married Roger Graham of Beresford. Besides being a home maker, Delores held various jobs, including working for many years at Bethesda Nursing home. She retired in 1997.
Delores enjoyed traveling and seeing the United States with Roger. She was an avid gardener and was well known for the beautiful floral arrangements she created from flowers in her own yard. She was a wonderful cook and a talented artist who loved children and the elderly. A devout Christian, she often talked about being reunited in Heaven with her loved ones who went before her.
She is survived by her husband, Roger of Beresford; daughter, Lezlee Graham of Sioux Falls; two sons, Dan Graham of Spearfish and Dave (Theresa) Graham of Chicago, IL; three granddaughters, April Finch, Ashley Finch and Amber Finch (Charles Whelan) all of Bozeman, MT; two great-grandsons, Maddox and Riley Whelan of Bozeman; two sisters, Evelyn Holien of Jasper, MN and Bonnie Thompson of Garden Grove, CA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, James, at birth; her parents; and two sisters, Jean and Joy.
Funeral services for Delores will be11AM Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford. Visitation will be 2-8PM Monday at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford with the family present from 6-8PM.
