Debra Ann Truman, 54, of Beresford, SD passed away March 10, 2013 at Sanford Hospice. She was born February 8, 1959 in Freeman, SD to Ken and Lily (Tiemann) Harms. Debra resided in the Sioux Falls and Beresford area most of her life. She graduated form Washington High School in Sioux Falls. Debra married Jim Truman December 28, 1990. She was employed for many years at Quality Park in Beresford. Debra enjoyed her family, going to auctions, both estate and consignment sales, gardening and raising flowers. She is survived by her husband, Jim of Beresford; children, Brock (Jen) Gamble of Omaha, NE, Talena (Mike) Heikes of Sioux Falls, Bret Gamble of Beresford and Jared Truman of Beresford; three grandchildren, Jacob and Sophia Gamble and Makayla Heikes; her mother, Lily Harms of Beresford; siblings, Herm (Kristi) Harms of Mitchell, Wendy (Alan) Austin of Beresford, Rod (Jane) Harms of Tea and Kim (Dave) Baney of Sioux Falls; many nieces and nephews; special longtime friend, Edna Husman; father-in-law, Woody (Marian) Truman of Canton; brothers-in-law, Bob (Renee) Truman of Rapid City, Bill (Susie) Truman of Harrisburg and Deb (Larry) Muller of Beresford. Debra was preceded in death by her father, Ken Harms, niece, Bethany Harms, special cousin, Sara Javers and mother-in-law, Donna Truman. Memorial services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Beresford United Church of Christ.
