Dean A. Adams died Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the VA Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 70 years. Celebration of Life services will be held on Sunday, August 14 at Bridges at Beresford. Visitation will begin at 1:00PM with a service at 2:30PM. Fellowship will follow at 3:00PM.
Dean Adams was born September 26, 1951 in Sioux Falls, SD to Joseph "Jack" and Evelyn (Johnson) Adams. He grew up in the Beresford area and graduated from Beresford High School. He was drafted into the United States Army in January of 1971, was stationed in Germany, and was honorably discharged in October 1972. He married Patricia Moerke on April 22, 1974.
Dean worked over 20 years for Beresford Farmer's Elevator, he drove truck for Weatherton Construction, hauled steel for Linco, and hauled grain during harvest for his nephew, Matthew "Buck" Adams, before retiring.
Dean enjoyed bird watching, studying and collecting unique coins, his daily drive to Casey's for a donut and coffee, his cat, Otis, riding his Harley, fishing, watching Nascar and cheering on his team, the Green Bay Packers. His favorite way to spend his time was with his family, Jeramie, Kristi and his grandkids.
Dean is survived by his son, Jeramie (Kristi) Adams, Beresford, SD; grandchildren, Jace, Alex and Greyson Adams, all of Beresford, SD, and Josie Anderson, Sioux Falls, SD; and his siblings, Doug (Rita) Adams, Sioux Falls, SD, Marsha (Dave) Nelson, Beresford, SD, and Joe (Tanya) Adams, Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph "Jack" and Evelyn Adams; and his wife, Patricia Moerke.
