David Allen Parmley was born May 28, 1959 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Carl and Harriet (Erickson) Parmley. He died unexpectedly at his home in Centerville March 24, 2016 at the age of 56 years.

He was raised and received his education in eastern South Dakota cities of Parker, Hartford, Chancellor and Lennox. David married Mary Meyer in 1978; to this union their four daughters were born. He worked at Dakota Contracting of Sioux Falls and in concrete construction for many years. David enjoyed going fishing and camping as well as spending time creating in his wood shop.

He is survived by fiance Tammy Myott of Centerville; daughters, Valerie (Nick Jones) Parmley of Mayer, MN, Sonya (Shawn) Steele of Sioux Falls, Carissa (William "Morris") Lee of Hurley, and Franny Parmley of Canton; and Tammy's adult children, Ashley, Adam and Alyssa Myott; 10 grandchildren, Revee Parmley, Jordan Lee, Morgan Lee, William Parmley, Joseph Lee, Alexa Steele, Jacob Steele, Jeffrey Steele, Harrison Jones and Kuper Myott. Also surviving are his brother, Carl Parmley of Centerville and five sisters, Eloise (Tony) Ramirez of Wellman, IA, Loretta (Richard) Lauck of Salem, Bonnie (Bob) Konda of Parker, Susan (Jim) Murphy of Utica, and Twyla O'Connor of Harrisburg. David's parents preceded him in death.


Memorial services will be 10AM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville, SD.
