Obituary

Clarence B. Limoges was born October 29, 1924 in Jefferson, SD to parents Raymond and Elma (Pennel) Limoges. He died March 31, 2007 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 2 days. Clarence attended rural schools in the Elk Point area. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1945 during WWII. After his honorable discharge from the Army he returned to the Elk Point area. Clarence married Delilah Farnum on May 5, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk Point. He farmed in Elk Point Township until 1961. After leaving the farm Clarence moved with his family to Alcester where he was employed by Moorman Feed Company as a salesman and was later promoted to District Manager. Clarence moved to Centerville in 1962 and has lived there until the present time. Clarence was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Wakonda American Legion. He enjoyed his family, friends, gardening and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister, a son Kevin and a grandson Keith. His survivors include his wife Delilah of Centerville, SD; three sons: Raymond and wife Diane of Fordyce, NE, Curtis and wife Lisa of Irene, SD and John and wife Kim of Centerville, SD; daughter Louise Williamson and husband Garold of Centerville, SD; nine grandchildren: Jason and Adam Williamson, Kyle, Tyler, Jed, Amanda, Kayla and Gabrielle Limoges, and Katie Logan; 2 great grandchildren: Darren Oster and Chase Logan; two sisters: Myrtle Hendricks of Louisville, KY and Grayce Welch and husband Pat of Erie, CO; two brothers: Marvin Limoges of Alcester, SD and Jim Limoges of Elk Point, SD; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with burial at Riverview Cemetery, rural Centerville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2PM to 5PM at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville and resuming at 6PM with a wake service at 7PM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
