Clarence Bud Lewis, Jr. was born August 29, 1933 in Mortintown, WV, to parents Clarence and Evelyn (Summers) Lewis. He died June 19, 2010 at his home in Beresford, SD at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 20 days.

Clarence served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He moved to Beresford in 1988. He married his wife Annette on April 2, 1992. The couple has continued to reside in Beresford.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Virginia and Elizabeth, and a brother Douglas.

His survivors include his wife Annette, Beresford; 9 children, Kenny Lewis, Florida, Joyce (Edward) Hursh, Claysville, PA, Michelle (James) Todd, Iva, SC, Patricia Shinn, Millville, NJ, Angela (Donnie) Little, Beresford Willie Porter, Lexington, NC, Crystal Porter, Sioux Falls, SD, Jennifer Porter and fianc Jason, Rock Valley, IA, and Jessie Porter, Beresford; 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; 9 siblings, Olive Otera, Millville, NJ, Elsie (Bob) Warren, Philadelphia, PA, Daniel (Margie) Lewis, Millville, NJ, Mary (Bruce) Anderson, Cedarville, NJ, Shirley (Bud) Remley, Vineland, NJ, Pauline (Gene) Williams, Port Norris, NJ, Robert (Karen) Lewis, Port Norris, NJ, Hannah (Flor) Rosada, NJ, and Charles (Mary Jane) Lewis, Dividing Creek, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Beresford Baptist Church with burial to follow at the Beresford City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
