Cheryl Jean (Canole) Offerdahl was born in Chicago, Illinois to Dolores and Jack on January 12, 1947. She passed away September 22, 2022 at Elk Point, SD.

When Cheryl was young, the family moved to Los Angeles, California, where she was raised and graduated school. She attended a technical school and started a career at Sears. While in Los Angeles, she met her future husband, Donald Offerdahl. They were married February 14, 1969 in Elk Point, SD. They lived and worked the family farm north of Spink, SD.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Debra; son, Donald; sister, Kathy; nephew, David (Susan) and his children, Chad (Emma); Chad's children, Cameron and Ainsley; Jay, Carly (Reid) and Ally; nephew, Darin; his children, Amanda, Kristina and Sophia; niece, Deanne and her daughter, Cassie; and niece, Susie.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, John; her niece, Mary.

Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Brule Creek Lutheran Church, rural Spink, SD. Visitation with the family present will be 5-7PM Friday, Sept. 30, 2022 at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.
