Charly L. Haeder was born September 15, 1975 in Hawarden, IA to parents Charles and Helen (Miller) Boyer. She died August 20, 2014 in Alcester, SD after a courageous, 30 year battle with kidney disease. Charly attended Alcester Elementary School, graduated from High School in 1994, attended Colorado Tech and received her R.N. Certificate from Western Iowa Tech with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She married Andy Haeder on June 12, 1999. The couple resided in Alcester. Charly had worked as a CNA at Colonial Manor in Hudson, Morningside Care Center in Alcester and as an RN at Long Term Care in Orange City. She was forced to retire due to her health in 2011. Charly and Andy attended the Alcester United Church of Christ. She enjoyed camping and many outdoor activities. Her greatest love in her life was family. She enjoyed camping trips, time with her sisters, and being with her husband, children and new grandson Ryker. Charly battled kidney disease for over 30 years. She faced these health challenges with a tenacious spirit and refused to let the disease define her life. She always held on to the hope she would win and in the end she received the ultimate healing from God. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, 2 sisters in infancy, April and Jackie, and her brother-in-law Tommy Nilles. She is survived by her husband Andy Haeder, Alcester; three sons, Tyler (fiancé Vanessa), Beresford, and Kaiden and Kyler of Alcester; grandson Ryker, parents Chuck and Sherry Boyer of Hudson and Helen and Jerry Ymker of Hawarden; seven sisters, Tiffany (Terry) Fluit, Canton, Steph (Wayne) VanGelder, Alcester, Deb (Andy) Jurgensen, LeMars, IA, Niki (Jessie) Christensen, Beresford, Ashley Sohl, Haley Boyer and Rachel Boyer all of Hudson; special friends Tara Harrison, Sysouda Walters and Shelly Nordtvedt; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, August 25 at the Alcester United Church of Christ. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 3PM to 5PM with a prayer service at 4PM.
