Obituary

Brenna Siobhan Davidson Walsh, cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at the age of 46.

Brenna's contagious smile, sense of humor, staunch friendship, independence, and loyalty will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Tom and Jane, siblings, Meghan, Seamus and sister-in-law, Kristen, Eamon and partner, Erin, nephews, Ronan and Gabe, nieces, Harper and Peyton, as well as many relatives and friends.

Growing up on a farm fostered an appreciation for natural beauty and a love for all animals in Brenna. She enjoyed a healthy amount of mischief with her siblings, participating in pranks and playing games like "kick the can" late into dark, hot summer nights. In school Brenna was involved in band and theater and developed her passion for the arts including painting, photography, poetry, and jewelry making.

After graduating from Creighton University in Omaha with a degree in Creative Writing, her employment included working for the United States Figure Skating Association in publicity as a photographer and writer and for the Sioux Center paper as a sports reporter and photographer. Most recently, she took pride in her work and enjoyed her role as part of the team at Q3.

Both professionally and personally, Brenna shared her perspective of the world through the lens of her art. She loved a variety of music, movies, books, UNO and Halloween. Her nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart, and she adored her cats. Brenna had an ardent interest in politics and kept abreast of the daily news. She loved good food and cooking with and for her family and friends. Brenna was a fierce defender of human and animal rights and a passionate friend.  Although Brenna preferred inside activities, she delighted in the annual Pheasant Hunt with extended family and walking the fields at the ancestral farm.

A talented artist with a sharp eye and soft heart, who could never say no to an animal or person in need, Brenna's all too rare kindness will be greatly missed.

A private celebration of Brenna's life, will be held in Alcester, SD.
