Bradley (Brad) F. Slick, 44, died Thursday, March 27, 2014. A memorial service will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Roseni Lutheran Church, 47214 307th Street, Beresford, SD. Brad was born to Bryan F. Slick and Barbara A. Stults in Lincoln, NE on November 9, 1969. Growing up Brad played midget football and later played varsity football while attending Southeast High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy his senior year, and served for one year. Brad completed his GED in 2002. Brad enjoyed a long career with Village Inn and held various service industry positions before becoming a stay-at-home dad. He became a father in 1991. He married Jennifer Leaming on May 20, 1995, and to this union a daughter was born. They divorced in 2000 and remained in contact throughout his life. He married Rebecca Schlamann on July 3, 2010. To this union, two children were born. Brad had a passion for culinary arts especially cooking and baking. He was working on a degree in culinary arts at Southeast Community College, Lincoln, NE. He enjoyed entertaining, playing cards and watching football. One of his greatest joys in life was his family. Survived by wife, Rebecca; children, Melanie of Fort Collins, CO; Kelsy, Alexandra and Mason all of Beresford, SD; father, Bryan (Patricia) Slick of Marshville, NC; sister, Balynda (Dale) McDaniel of Lincoln, NE; brother, Lee Mast of Sioux Falls, SD; grandfather, Emile Slick of Bedford, PA; cousins, nieces, nephews, additional family and friends. He was preceded in death by mother, Barbara Mast; step-father, Patrick Mast; grandparents, Francis and Sylvia McNeil and Zona Slick. Memorials are suggested to the family.
