Becky J. Zeutenhorst, 60, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017.  Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, November 10, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fairview, SD.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, at Alcester Baptist Church.

Becky Waag was born February 1, 1957 in Hawarden, IA to Ellis and Arlene (Voegeli) Waag.  She grew up in Alcester and Beresford.  She married Bob Ackman in 1976.  They were blessed with two children, Randa and Jerid.  After moving to Mitchell, Oklahoma, then Texas, she returned home to Alcester in 1991.

Becky was a waitress and co-owner with her brother, Dan, of Arlene's Sunnyside Café in Alcester.  She loved being around people and making them feel welcomed.  She felt at home in the kitchen, any kitchen, where she was a wonderful cook and an even better baker.   She had an infectious smile, was helpful, warm and giving.  If ever anyone needed anything, she was always there.  She was funny and never missed a chance to tell a story of her kids and her grandkids.  She was a proud mother and grandmother and could be heard saying, "How did I get such good kids?"

For the past twelve years, Becky and Steve were inseparable. They were together at music concerts for the grandkids, little league games, music recitals, soccer, softball, or anything to do with her grandkids or Steve's grandkids.  Golfing was by far the favorite with all the grandkids.  She truly loved her family, extended family and her many friends.  When not with their families, she cherished relaxing with Steve on her front porch or at Steve's house on the patio by the fire, where friends and family were always welcome.

Becky is survived by her fiancé and soulmate, Steve Larsgaard, Canton, SD; her two children, Jerid (Kristy) Ackman, Mitchell, SD and Randa (Aaron) Bickett, Beresford, SD; four beloved grandchildren, Michah Ackman, Madilynn Bickett, Kalub Bickett and Sara Ackman; two brothers, David (Liz) Waag, Watertown, SD and Daniel Waag, Alcester, SD; two sisters, Nancy (Fritz) Feuerherm, Lake Elmo, MN and Patti Bickett, Beresford, SD; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and  many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Ashley Ackman; her parents; and her sister, Kathy Jensen.
