Barbara Jean Hansdahle was born January 13, 1939 in Beresford, SD to parents Knute and Ardell (Thorson) Hansdahle. She passed away on Decmeber 19, 2016 at Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion, SD at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 6 days.

Barb was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member and participated in Ladies Aid. She graduated from Beresford High School in 1957. She then began her lifelong career at Bethesda Nursing Home, working there for over 50 years. A highlight of Barb's life was when she and her sister JoAnn took a trip to Norway where they were able to visit her father's relatives.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents and her fiancé, Elijah (Bud) Campbell. Her survivors include her sister JoAnn Orcutt and husband Bob of Volga, SD; two nephews, Paul (Sharlene) Orcutt and Richard (Jan) Orcutt; a niece Julie (Jeff) Hopp; 2 great nieces, 3 great nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 28 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Beresford, SD with burial to follow at the Beresford Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
