Arnold A. Abbas was born December 26, 1944 in Lennox, South Dakota to Julius and Vera (Dirkson) Abbas. He died November 26, 2018 at his home near Centerville, SD at the age of 73 years and 11 months.

He was raised in Humboldt and also in Worthing, South Dakota. Arnold married Patricia Crance on April 30, 1965. They lived in St. Croix Beach, MN where Arnold worked for the John Morrell Co. They moved to Sioux Falls in 1970 where Arnold continued with John Morrell Co. where he for his entire career. In 1990, he and Patricia bought an acreage near Centerville where he has lived since. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and trapping. Arnold loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

His parents, wife, Patricia and  brother, Arvid, preceded him in death.

Arnold is survived by his son, Eric Abbas of Centerville; daughter, Karmen Abbas Massey of Wakefield, MA; and three grandchildren, Nicholas, Luke and MiKayla Abbas. Also surviving is his brother, Arlin (Jean) Abbas of Sioux Falls;  three sisters, Arlis (Steve) Sona of Sioux Falls, Ardis (Bernard) Zahn of Worthing and Audrey Smithback of Scottsdale, AZ; and one sister-in-law, Judy Abbas of Sioux Falls.

Visitation with the family will be 5-7PM Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.
