Arline Reynolds was born March 22, 1919 at Redfield, South Dakota, the only daughter to parents Hugh and Anna (Linstad) Reynolds. She attended country school in rural Frankfort and graduated salutatorian from Redfield High School. Arline attended Dakota Wesleyan University where she earned her teaching certificate. She taught in both the Raymond and Alcester grade schools. Arline married Clarence TePoel of rural Alcester in 1945. The couple lived on a farm near Alcester, lived in Madison where she worked as a secretary for the Methodist Church, and lived in Sturgis where she worked in an insurance office. The couple retired back to Alcester in 1982. In 2006, Arline moved to the Inn on Westport in Sioux Falls, and lived there until the time of her death. Playing bridge was a lifetime passion and she belonged to many bridge clubs through the years. Arline also enjoyed traveling with friends to various parts of the country. Arline is survived by her daughter Yvonne (Stan) Hippen and grandson, Collin Hippen. Her husband, Clarence and her grandson, Tyson preceded her in death. Memorial services will be 2PM Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 at Nathanael Lutheran Church in Alcester, SD.
