Arlene Faye Zoeller was born March 27, 1942 in Turner County, South Dakota to parents Elwyn and Elvera (Johnson) Knutson. She died October 22, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls at the age of 79 years, six months and 25 days.

She was raised on the family farm and attended school in Centerville. Arlene was confirmed at Scandia Lutheran Church. Arlene moved to Sioux Falls where she attended Stuart's Beauty School and Nettleton Business School. She lived in Rapid City and Sioux Falls where she worked to raise her four children. Arlene loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Suzan (Albert) Doherty of Haughton, LA, Mark (Naomi) Eleeson of Sioux Falls, Carrie (Darron) Brown of Beresford and Dessie (Kurt) Gross of Revanna, NE; 11 grandchildren, Corey, Adam, Trista, Chris, Ashley, Jacob, Ryan, Dustin, Samantha, Rachel and Josh; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Seitzinger of Dakota Dunes, SD and Micy (Cliff) Highstreet of Hurley; and a sister-in-law, Arnetta Knutson of Irene. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Darlene (Ardell) Lovejoy and Ginnie Christensen; brother, Kermit Knutson; and a brother-in-law, Frank Seitzinger.
