Anthony "Tony" P. Neuroth was born February 12, 1932 in Beresford, South Dakota to William and Anna (Pohlen) Neuroth. He died June 17, 2017 at the Centerville Care & Rehab Center at the age of 85 years, four months and five days.

Tony was raised in Beresford and graduated from Beresford High School in 1950. He married Marion Thompson Austin on December 10, 1967. Tony worked at Carlson Produce candling eggs, testing cream and "catching" chickens out of trees at night. He also worked at Dan Cotton Chevrolet for 15 years. In 1980 he purchased Tony's Feed & Seed before owning and operating Tony's Kwik Stop in downtown Beresford from 1987 until 1997. He and Marion moved to Branson, MO in 1998 where he was employed at the Chateau on the Table Rock Lake. They returned to Beresford in 2005 to be closer to family.

He enjoyed all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, building toys and crafts for them and reading them books. Just as they were his greatest blessing, they in turn will treasure the memory of "Papa Tony" forever.

Grateful to have shared his life and will miss him dearly are his wife of 49 years, Marion; daughter, Angie (Milo) Twedt; son, Alan (Wendy) Austin; brother, Leo (Lorraine) Neuroth; two brothers-in-law, Leon (Betty) Thompson and Larry (Phyllis)  Thompson; sister-in-law, Dixie Thompson all of Beresford; four grandchildren, Jen, Jason, Emily and Reilly; four step grandchildren, Jennifer, Greg, Kayleigh and Alex; 13 great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Taten, Jade, Ethan, Addysen, Bennett, Joanna, Logan, Brody, Tenley, Morgan, Korie and Cole; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and William; four brothers, Gilbert, Robert, Leonard and Bill; two sisters, Rosemary and Doreen Marie; and his youngest son, Andrew, who died in 2004.

Funeral Mass will be 10AM Wednesday, June 21st at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Beresford. Visitation will be 6-8PM Tuesday at the church with a prayer service at 7PM.
