Anna Sikkink was born November 5, 1935 in Hudson, SD to parents John and Gertrude (Timmons) Vogelzang. She died October 30, 2013 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 25 days. Anna grew up and attended school in Akron, IA. She married Alvin Sikkink on November 18, 1953 in Minnesota. Anna was a homemaker as she raised her children and later worked at Raven Industries in Beresford and as a cook at the Good Samaritan Center in Centerville, retiring in 2003. Anna was a member of the Centerville Baptist Church and was most recently associated with Komstad Covenant Church. Her hobbies and interests included baking, cooking, and canning. She loved her family very much and cherished every moment she had with them. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Dale, Dennis and Daniel, a granddaughter Nicole and three brothers. She is survived by her husband Alvin of Centerville; daughter Roxanne (Rick) Nothdurft, Centerville; two sons, Dean (Cari), Sioux Falls and Doug (Jennifer), Centerville; 11 grandchildren, Kristina, Jason, Taylor, Trenton, Trace, Stacy, Sara, Natalie, Amy, Cody and Erika; a great granddaughter Aubrey; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Monday, November 4, 2013 At Wass Funeral Home in Centerville with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, rural Centerville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
