Anita Jean Anderson, 76, of Beresford, SD went to be with the Lord February 3, 2024 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Viborg, SD.

She was born July 29, 1947 in Akron, IA to Stanley R. and Rosella (Peterson) Anderson. She attended school in Akron, graduating in 1965. She went on to attend college in Springfield, SD and received a teaching degree.

On March 14th of 1970 Anita married Bruce H. Johnson. They had two children Jennifer and Wade.

Anita worked at Spink Café, Marty's Café and Truck Town. She enjoyed playing piano, doing cross word puzzles, gardening and especially seeing her grandkids. She adored her grandkids and was so proud of each one of them.

She is survived by her husband Bruce H. Johnson of Beresford, SD, Wade B. (Deb) Johnson, her brother Richard (Peggy) Anderson of Sioux City, IA, nephew Ryan (Carly) Anderson of Olathe, KS, niece Amy (Shane) Werner of Overland Park, KS, grandchildren Caden Ellingson of Vermillion, Brock Ellingson of Tea, Mayana Johnson, Logan Johnson, Ada Johnson, and Emery Johnson of Beresford, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carol Lynn Anderson, daughter Jennifer A. Ellingson and brother Rodney L. Anderson.
