Anita Helena Inberg Moore was born January 12, 1903 in Dalesburg, SD to parents Joseph and Ingrid (Berg) Inberg. She died on April 14, 2008 in Huntington Beach, CA at the age of 105 years. Anita was baptized February 5, 1903 and confirmed on September 10, 1916 at the Dalesburg Lutheran Church, rural Vermillion, SD. She attended the Dalesburg Swede School and Ellis White country school. After the death of her mother in 1917, she helped her father raise her younger brother and sisters. On December 31, 1935 she left for California. During World War II she worked for McDonald-Douglas and later worked for the Pacific Cracker Company for 12 years. She married George Allen Moore on October 16, 1937 in Los Angeles and were later divorced. In the 1960s, Anita and her sister Frances purchased a large house in Los Angeles and operated the Luther Ann Guest Home, a residence for the elderly. They later moved to Leisure World in Laguna Hills. In 1997, she moved to Huntington Beach to the Alternative Senior Care center. Anita was honored for volunteering for over 20 years at the Lutheran Social Service Thrift Store at Laguna Hills. She was a member of the King of Glory Lutheran Church of Huntington Beach. Anita will be remembered for her kindness, humbleness and love of God. Her survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: William Inberg, Paul Inberg, and Roland Inberg, sisters: Edith Inberg Soderman, Frances Inberg, Viola Inberg, Elmeda Inberg Olson and Dorothy Inberg Silkenson. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM, Monday, April 28, 2008 at Dalesburg Lutheran Church, rural Vermillion, with burial at the church cemetery.
